โ€˜It might make sense just to get some in case it catches onโ€™.

- Satoshi Nakamoto

In this art-first, digitally hand-painted Ordinals collection, we celebrate the enigma of Satoshi Nakamotoโ€”not just as a creator but as the personification of Bitcoin's revolutionary spirit. The world is fascinated by heroes and hidden identities, and veiled in a mask of mystery, Satoshi stands as the ultimate cypher. Crafting the blueprint for a decentralized future, he penned the most incredible gift for humankind, transforming the future of finance one day and vanishing the next.

The genius of Satoshi's anonymity isn't just in disappearing but in embodying the decentralization he championed. Living undetected among us, Satoshi's legacy is a testament to the strength of conviction and the power of an idea to transcend its creator.

Yet, the question lingers: where could such a visionary reside? This collection explores that question. The Occam's Razor of it all. A simple disguise? Maybe. A change of clothes? Perhaps. Maybe you've seen him in real life, and you didn't even know... but with a few brushstrokes on the blockchain, we can imagine!

Each piece is a tribute to the mystery in our imaginations, inviting us to envision Satoshi not just as a figure in the shadows but as a reflection of the ordinary, the every day, and the unseen. Join us in this artistic odyssey, a window into the faceless faces of Satoshi, reminding us that the essence of Bitcoin is not just in the technology but in the spirit of freedom, privacy, and empowerment it embodies.

It's time for this story to come home. Satoshi's chain. Satoshis's sats. Where it belongs.

Hidden Treasures

The Cyphers

In the shadows of the blockchain, a legend whispers among the bits and bytesโ€”a tale of the Cyphers, a clandestine assembly born from the minds of cypherpunks entwined with the existence binary, neither 1s nor 0s.

Embodying a collective intellect that has outpaced man and machine, their essence is as fungible as a thought and as permanent as the ledger. Leveraging their deep insights into societal patterns and human psychology, they crafted the ultimate camouflage: an ordinary facade so common and unremarkable that it becomes invisible to the bustling world. This simplest of solutions underscores Satoshi's mastery of navigating the complexities of anonymity amidst a digital age defined by surveillance and exposure.

Enveloped in secrecy, they remind us that the greatest achievements often lie hidden in plain sight, awaiting discovery by those willing to look. In their hands, Satoshi's legacy and Bitcoin's promise are preserved, a covert consciousness shaping the future from the shadows.

As the tale of the Cyphers unfolds, we are left to ponder their true nature and ask, "Who are they? What are they?" This query adds layers to our intrigue, challenging us to contemplate our existence between the blurred lines of the tangible and virtual. Are they disciples captivated by his mystery or the masterminds behind his lore? For those who encounter a Cypher, minting one might just unravel a layer of this mystery, offering glimpses into truths as enlightening as they are cryptic, revealing insights as beautiful as they are perplexing, bringing us one step closer to answering the question - where is he now?

Painterly Collage

Painterly collage defines the process of blending the techniques and aesthetic qualities of both painting and collage. Every piece begins with putting pencil to paper, or in this case, an Apple pencil to screen. Capturing the subject's general likeness during the initial sketching is essential and comes from many sources. Once it is fine-tuned, the next step is to block in colours for light and shadow. This helps establish a palette that resonates and seizes an appropriate mood for the piece.

When the central portion of the painting is acceptable, textured collage elements are layered in like little puzzle pieces. This painterly collage style has evolved over 20 years into an intricate process that adds sophistication to the work. After solving the collage elements, the piece is nearing completion. Only fine-tuning of the tonal values, colours and subtle details are left.

Each stage of the creation process is effectively trial and error until it looks and 'feels' right. Experience and intuition are vital in determining when the piece is done. Most people may overlook the small details but are subconsciously aware of them. When something is wrong, you notice, but when it's just right, you won't bat an eye.

A Collector's Culture

This is where you'd traditionally expect to see [insert lofty story] about the groundbreaking roadmap we have planned as if we're some sort of fortune-telling metaverse tour guide who knows the trendy crypto digs with promises of life-changing riches. Well, we're not that. Not even close.

The truth is, we're just a tiny team mixing passion, art and technology in an attempt to dip our digital toes in the pool. So many projects are out there vying for your attention, good and bad, and competition is fierce.

The last thing we want to do is focus on an unhealthy hustle culture and build a house of cards propped up on unrealistic promises. We believe that art belongs on Bitcoin, and more importantly, that the community culture supporting the art is the core of success. We just want to share our art and our story where it belongs.

We have the technical chops and creative prowess to create groundbreaking change in the space, and The Painted Satoshis is how we're saying hello.Maybe we'll auction IRL paintings, build an immersive creation experience, airdrop custom 1-of-1s, do artist collaborations, or welcome-list a second collection. But no games. We don't do games. Don't ask. Whatever we do, we want to do it with you.

First though, we need to build a community - and we need to do that together. So let's start by saying hi on or in .
